The short answer

Velastria and Pabau both run an aesthetic clinic end to end. The practical differences are these. Velastria publishes fixed per-clinic prices — £35 to £950 a month, unlimited users from £75 — while Pabau quotes by user band and includes an unlimited, free AI scribe. Velastria has completed a full Pabau migration: 5,586 patients and 91,844 clinical photographs, with zero data loss.

Why the migration numbers are on this page

Anyone can claim a switch is easy. Every figure in the last row of that table is counted from the migration ledger after the import finished — the record of what actually landed, reconciled row by row. None of it is read off a log line or estimated from a feature list.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Velastria cheaper than Pabau?

It depends on your headcount, and only one of the two can be checked in advance. Velastria publishes its prices: £35, £75, £250 or £950 per clinic per month, with unlimited users from £75. Pabau prices by user band and does not publish figures, so you would need a quote from them to compare like for like.

Can Velastria import my Pabau data?

Yes, and it has. A CQC-registered private hospital moved off Pabau in full: 5,586 patients, 42,121 appointments, 23,159 payments, 51,531 clinical documents and 91,844 clinical photographs. The migration is done for you, validated by your team in a staging environment, and cut over only when you sign off a written migration report.

Do I have to pay two subscriptions during the switch?

No. Your Velastria subscription starts only after your signed-off cutover. If you are mid-contract with Pabau, the switch date is planned around your renewal.

What happens to my clinical photographs?

They come across attached to the right patient. In the completed Pabau migration, 91,844 clinical photographs were moved and reconciled, which is usually the single largest and most fragile part of an aesthetic clinic’s record.

Does Velastria charge extra for AI?

Every AI feature is on every plan, with no AI tier and no usage cap to exceed. AI is billed per use on top of your subscription and itemised on your invoice. Most clinics spend between £30 and £60 a month; heavy transcription and document reading can cost more.
